Electrogalvanization

Description
Use
Blue Seal Galvanizing

It is a procedure by which a layer of Zinc is deposited on metal parts by means of a controlled direct current. The process is used to protect small parts that require a more uniform finish than that provided by Hot Dip Galvanizing. Electrogalvanized steel has excellent formability and can be joined by welding

• When a coating of a protective layer thickness of Zinc between 10 and 30 microns is needed, to avoid increasing the volume of the piece. In some cases, this is essential, such as screws.
• When it is necessary to bend, fold or modify the metal part without loss of coating since the protective layer electrolytically adheres to the galvanized material.

Treatment of chemical processes to protect the material or piece from the effects of the tropical climate.
Types of finish it gives: It has a yellowish appearance, which is what causes the avoidance of corrosion.
How it is produced or applied: It is a final seal at the base of the galvanizing.
Advantages:
Resists water and oxidation, Good for outdoors Disadvantages:
The yellowish appearance is mandatory.

Known uses and products: Furnitures for hot weather, umbrellas.
